Description

The Rembrandt Centrum hotel is situated in the heart of Amsterdam between the Herengracht and the Singel, near Dam square.

It is set in seventeenth and nineteenth century monumental buildings right on the city's most prestigious canals. The hotel features a cosy bar/lounge and a breakfast room. There is also a meeting room available for maximum 15 people. (Rates are available on request at our group department)

The hotel has 111 rooms including two executive rooms and several non-smoking rooms. All rooms are equipped with a bathroom with bath, shower and toilet, a colour television with pay-TV and an international direct dial telephone.

Our rates are including VAT, but excluding city tax (5%).

Rembrandt Centrum Hotel located at this quiet and beautiful location, nearby the shopping- and entertainment center, you can enjoy the real atmosphere of Amsterdam.

Tourist attractions and museums are in great numbers around the Rembrandt Centrum Hotel: Anne Frank House, Rembrandt House, Madame Tussaud, as well as many shopping centres: The 9 straatjes (unique small shops around the hotel), Kalverstraat, Kalvertoren.

The hotel is in the middle of the numerous canals with beautiful historic buildings.

How do I get to the Rembrandt Residence Hotel by public transport? :

1) From Schiphol Airport: Every 20 minutes there is a train running from the Airport to Central Station. When you arrive at the airport and you reach the central hall there is a big sign with the train information. The trains to the Central station are running from 05:40 AM to 00:30 AM and costs about 4 euro each (go to step 2)

2) Travel from Central Railway Station
Tram 1, 2, 5, 13 or 17, tram stop Dam. You are now at the back of Dam Square, next to Magna Plaza Shopping Centre. Just walk around the corner. You are now on the Raadhuisstraat, behind you is the Royal Palace.
Walk straight ahead until the Herengracht. Go to the left (cross the street) and stay at this side of the canal. After the crossing street Gasthuismolensteeg you will find the Rembrandt Residence Hotel with the blue sunshide.
It's only a 5 minutes walk to the hotel.
The trams in Amsterdam are running normaly from: 07:00 AM to 01:00 AM

The staff were very helpful as my parents both had wheelchairs.
1) satellite television would have been good 2) tea making facilities in room would have been useful 3) wheelchair access at back of hotel could have been better

We had a room with view to the canal which was nice. the hotel is quite. the breakfast room big and the buffet well supplied. staff are nice.
Windows were very heavy so hard to open and didn't stay open. weather was hot, and no air conditioning, it's was quite suffocating in here. not hot water in the bathroom.

Good central location, nice helpful staff.
A little bit noisy when windowns open with courtyard so close. air con would have been great then the windowns could be closed. would have appreciated tea/coffee facilities as standard in room.

The staff at rembrandt centrum were very friendly and helpful. although the price of the hotel is expensive it's what i have come to expect from hotels in amsterdam. i stayed with my young family and the rooms here are big enough to accommodate two adults and three young children.

Staff were very helpful. room was very small but very clean and comfortable.
No access to a terminal to check email, although staff let me check on hte front desk computer. would have been helpful to have even pay-as-you-go access, becuase the nearest internet cafe is halfway across the city.

Yes i feel that the hotel staff were friendly & helpful,a couple of staff had uniforms way to big for them and found it a struggle to carry drinks & food to the rooms without there pants falling down and sleeves to long etc,imbrassing for the female bellboys at times,hotel should supply there staff with the correct clothing and suitable uniform hope these matters get resolved

We were a party of 4 and shared a quad room - it was really spacious (unlike others we have been to), beds were comfortable and our room looked out onto the canal. the hotel is in a really good central location.

Hotel staff could not have been nicer or as willing to help. the lady at the bar and the receptionist in the evening were excellent.
Signage out side not helpful. could not be seen unless you were opposite the hotel.

The hotel is perfectly situated, right in the city center. it's a good place to stay and i would recommend it others.
The staff at the reception did not always have a good comprehesion of english and they sometime seemed very unsure of what they where doing which meant it took quite a while to check in - it leaves a bad impression with the customer. furthermore, the room i booked was very small and the televison on the wall was always in the way if one wanted to move from the bed and to the bathroom. the room was for my grandmother and she needs to get up at night when it's dark, so it would have been nicere had the hotalstaff put her in a slighly bigger room.

Front desk staff were v helpful, map given on arrival with all places of interest pointed out. hotel was directly on a canal which was lovely to walk out on in the mornings, and were only 2 streets away from dam square and damrak and 2 canals away from anne frank's house so a great location.
