Description
NH Caransa is located at the Rembrandtplein square in the heart of Amsterdam, the very centre of the city´s lively night life. The modern hotel is surrounded by restaurants, theatres, cafés, terraces and canals.
At the back door you can embark on a boating roundtrip trough the canals. The Anne Frank Huis is 15 walking minutes away and so is the Dam. The RAI Congress Centre can be reached by tram in twenty minutes.

How to reach the hotel?1) From SCHIPHOL AIRPORT: Every 20 minutes there is a train running from the Airport to Central Station. When you arrive at the airport and you reach the central hall there is a big sign with the train information. The trains to the Central station are running from 05:40 AM to 00:30 AM (go to step 2)
2) From CENTRAL STATION: You can take tram: 9 from the square in front of the station to the Rembrandtplein. From there you can walk to the hotel +/- 1 min. the trams in Amsterdam are running normaly from: 07:00 AM to 01:00 AM

Good selection of food at breakfast,and being able to have breakfast as late as 10.30 was even better. excellent location & staff very helpful. would definitly stay again.Only negative was the fact that if you didn`t like taking the lift there was no other way down from the different floors.Anonymous

The hotel is in a brilliant location and is very clean and tidy. free toiletries is a nice touch. the price is very reasonable for the standard of room.We left a pair of sunglasses in the room and the receptionist wasn't particularly helpful with regards to getting them back, which we didn't in the end. mini bar is overly expensive.Amanda Burns

Nh caransa hotel is in a fantastic location right on rembrandt square so only 5-10 mins walk to dam square. the hotel was clean, staff were friendly and informative and it didn't cost much per night.Mark Leedham

Excellent locationRooms not as described on web site we looked at 3 rooms on arrival 2 were small with small bathrooms and wardrobes with no doors so all was on display and views of a brick wall and the 3rd was a larger room with proper wardrobes but had 2 single beds pushed together even though we had requested a double. the hotel receptionist was very unhelpful about this with the attitude if you don't like it tuff. they also say you have a choice of pillows when we asked it was just a choice of small or large.Mrs M.Murray

The first concierge that greeted s was excellent and arranged for us to move rooms when there was no bath. I booked a double room with bath and when i called the hotel to confirm the booking the night before and was told that i had booked a single room and there was nothing that they could do. when we arrived at the hotel we were given a double room with no bath just a shower. when we called and asked to be moved we were put in a room with a bath but it was two single beds pushed together. the tea and coffee was not replaced in the room. the breakfast arrived late and was cold when we ordered room service.Olga Molokova

The rooms were excellent , the first room (415) looked realy nice and even though we asked for a view , the view was rubbish and they were doing road works all night long so we asked to be moved which the receptionist was ok about not too happy with the hassle but we finally got a new room (606)
this room was amazing the view was amazing and the decor was realy nice, the price of wireless was a joke at 18 euros for 24 hrs !!! most hotels give it away free !
nice hotel would think about returning to this one but as this was our second time to amsterdam i think it'll be our last due to being bored of city breaks

Very friendly and within walking distance of top attractionsA little noisy as they are working on the tram line outside and tables and chairs are dragged in off the square in the early hours of the morning.
