Hotel de Looier is located in a nice part of the city centre known as the 'Jordaan' (garden). The hotel is situated in a quiet side street, in the antique district of Amsterdam.
Due to its central location close to Leidse Square, Museum Square and the Vondelpark, most of the important attractions are within comfortable walking distance.
In the hotel there is a lift and the hotel has its own bar, a nice garden and it offers Wi-Fi Internet connection-not free. Paid parking is available close to the hotel.

The hotel is located on a quiet street in the city centre of Amsterdam, close to Leidse Square and the Vondelpark.
A 5-minute walk brings you to 'Leidseplein', Amsterdam's main entertainment area. Here you will find hundreds of restaurants, bars, discos, coffee shops, the casino, shops and the hotel's own cafe "Rock In and Roll Out".
Another 5-minute walk will lead you to the main museums: the Rijksmuseum, Van Gogh Museum and Stedelijk Museum of Modern Art. The Anne Frank House is a ten minutes walk from the hotel in the opposite direction. Most of the important attractions in Amsterdam are within 15 minutes walking distance.
How to reach the hotel?By train: Every 20 minutes there is a train running from the airport to Amsterdam Central Station. When you arrive at the airport and you reach the central hall there is a big sign with the train information. The trains to the central station are running from 05:40 AM to 00:30 AM (go to step 2).
By bus: You can take bus nr. 370 at the airport and get off at the last stop called 'Marnix station'. The hotel is walking distance from here.
By taxi: From Schiphol Airport you can also take a taxi to the hotel. The journey from the airport takes about 25 minutes.
2) From Amsterdam Central Station
By tram: You can take tram nr. 17 from the square in front of the station to the 'Elandsgracht'. From there you can walk to the hotel in approximately 2 minutes. The journey takes about 15 minutes. The trams in Amsterdam are normally running from 07:00 AM to 01:00 AM.
By taxi: From Amsterdam Central Station you can also take a taxi to the hotel. The journey from central station takes about 10 minutes.

There was no noise at all, from within or without. the staff were accomodating to my wish to fetch tea to have in my room before breakfast. generally, the atmosphere was easy and pleasant.

Room was very basic,no draw space at all,next to reception so quite noisy, no coffee making, front desk when booked in was not so frendly An extra charge of 4% when using a credit card, never experienced this anywhere beforeMr Neill Brown

None really very expensive for what we got. the location was good for getting across to different parts of the town. the safe was very useful and the staff were friendly enough and answered all questions we asked. the showers always had plenty of hot water and were very functional but the black mould on the grouting could do with being removed.The room was nothing like the one we were shown on the internet. it could just about fit a bed in it everything else was put together with bits of chipboard,i.e no wardrobe just a pole to hang some clothes on. we complained but they didn't move us until the next day. this room was much brighter and larger and was more appropriate. this hotel needs an overhaul as it is stuck in the early 80s.Anonymous

Excellent hotel, rooms really clean and spacious for amsterdam. everywhere was only a 10-15 min walk away.
taxi arrived on time, were able to secure a reduced rate through reception, saving approx 15euro.The only things to mention really were that most of the staff were a bit miserable! and the breakfast was rubbish!Rachel Berkson

Yes, the hotel staff are very rude, and dont seem to want to take the time to help you. if u are a young couple/group i would not reccomend this hotel. we were a group of 7 girls so it is inevitable that we would make a bit of noise coming in from a night out, but the next day we were asked not to talk once we were in our rooms!!! i would never stay at this hotel again.Anonymous

The hotel staff were excellent,they were helpfull and friendly. the rooms were very clean and the beds were comfortable.The rooms could do with a bit of spruce up they were a bit basic and the grout in the bathroom needs to be replaced to make them look better. tea making facilities in the rooms would have been nice. Staff were very friendly and helpful. hotel is clean and served its purpose exactly. great location just 5 mins walk from the busy leidesplein. well worth staying at this hotel and would definetly recommend!!!I asked for 4 single beds when booking the room however, when we got in the room there were only 3 beds. i went to the reception and was told that they never had a note that there were to be 4 beds but i had my confirmation email quite clearly stating my request. i then went out for a few hours and when i came back there was another small camp bed left in the room so the problem was solved.Elif Tekin-Deherrera
