Hotel Amsterdam is situated on the Damrak, the street which links the central railway station to the world famous Dam Square, with the Royal Palace; the heart of the exciting Amsterdam.

Right opposite the hotel there is public transport (city tram) to all parts of the city (like RAI Congres Centre!) and there is also a frequent KLM coach service from and to Schiphol Airport. Public paid parking is available 24 hours a day.
How to reach the hotel? How to reach the hotel?
1) From Schiphol Airport: Every 20 minutes there is a train running from the airport to Amsterdam Central Station. When you arrive at the airport and you reach the central hall there is a big sign with the train information. The trains to the central station are running from 05:40 AM to 00:30 AM (go to step 2).

2) From Central Station: You don't have to take the tram, you can walk to the hotel in approximately 5 minutes. The trams in Amsterdam are normally running from: 07:00 AM to 01:00 AM.

The hotel is in the best possible location in amsterdam. the room we stayed in was excellent with a large clean bathroom. we would certainly stay there again and recommend this hotel to anyone visiting amsterdam.

The location is fantastic. the staff are pleasant and helpful.
When i was chcked in i was allocated a non smoking room, there were no other rooms available, it would have been better to have arranged this online when i booked the room 2 months earlier. the bathroom also had a stale damp smell, which was unpleasant.

No lounge area to meet in, the view from the room was an internal stairwell, and the general quality of the furnishings were not what i expected for a 4 star hotel. i expected a double bed, not 2 singles pushed together.
