Description
The charming Eden Amsterdam Centre Hotel is centrally located next to the "Leidseplein", Vondelpark, PC Hoofstraat and next to the famous Jordaan area. With its own parking garage and tram stop in front of the hotel is perfectly accessible. Also the Connexxion Shuttle bus stops at the hotel. This typical Amsterdam’s hotel is the perfect location for the business guest as well as the leisure guest.
Situated in a historical building the hotel offers a diversity of modern rooms from compact one- or two person’s rooms to more luxury superior rooms. All superior rooms include FREE high speed internet.
All 70 rooms have high speed internet connection, LCD TV screen with movie on demand system, telephone, private safe, working desk and a compact bathroom with shower. The hotel rooms are all non-smoking, however on our patio there is a possibility to smoke.
Several facilities like: free WIFI in the lobby, free use of internet computers, a cosy patio where you can have breakfast during sunny days. The loungebar is a perfect place to relax at the fireplace after a busy day. The bar is opened daily till 01H00.

The Eden Amsterdam Centre Hotel is located in the historic centre of Amsterdam right next to the dazzling Leidseplein with its many bars, restaurants, terraces, theatres and the Casino. From Leidseplein you can also make a canal tour or rent a bike. The world-famous Vondelpark, Rijksmuseum (Rembrandt) and Van Gogh Museum are within a few minutes walkingdistance as well as the major shopping areas such as the PC Hooftstraat and the Leidsestraat. Anne Frank House is situated at appr. 15 min. from the hotel. Tram 1,2 and 5 stop opposite to the hotel.
How to reach the hotel?Public Transportation from Schiphol Amsterdam Airport / Central Station
Take the train to Amsterdam Central Station (www.ns.nl). Continue with tram 1, 2 or 5 (www.gvb.nl) and get out at the Leidseplein (square). Continue by foot following the tram tracks. Cross the bridge and turn right. You will find the Eden Amsterdam Centre Hotel at your left hand-side.
By car from Den Haag (The Hague) / Schiphol Amsterdam Airport (A4)
Follow highway A4, direction Amsterdam. Arriving at Amsterdam you will enter ring road A10; take exit “A10 Zuid S 101 t/m 108”. Take exit “S 106 Overtoomse Veld”. Turn right at the traffic lights at the end of this exit. Cross the roundabout at Surinameplein and move into the left lane while crossing a bridge (follow the sign “Oud West – Centrum”): you will turn left on the “Overtoom”. At the end of the Overtoom (about 1000 meters) turn left on the “Nassaukade”. After 20 meters you will see the Eden Amsterdam Centre Hotel at your left hand-side. You can park your car in the hotel parking next to the hotel at the “1e Helmerstraat” (advance reservation recommended).

Really lovely hotel. rooms were a little on the small side but i actually found it to be compact and cosy. it had everything you needed.
On departure we had to pay what is called 'city tax' there was no mention of this anywhere so it was a surprise on checking out!!Anonymous

Located right next to leidsplein square so it was easy to walk to all of the big attractions & museums in amsterdam. the room was small but very clean and comfortable. it featured a small flat screen tv, private bath, and one double bed. we loved the view of the canal! i would definitly reccommend this hotel and would return if in the area again. The eden centre hotel is in a good location.The room was considerably smaller than the many other hotels i have stayed in. also, the staff are very mixed. some extremely helpful, others extremely not. on arriving with our heavy luggage, we were given the key to a room on the top (4th) floor. we were not told of the lift, we had to ask. however, we decided to use the stairs as my friend did not like lifts. we went through the door to some stairs immediately opposite the reception. the stairs were extremely narrow and windy, very difficult to get up with heavy luggage. only when we got to the top we found that our room was not there. we came back down the steep windy, narrow stairs with our heavy luggage, tired after our journey, and had to ask where the correct staircase was for our room. the person on reception should have instructed us in the first place and stopped us from using the wrong stairs.Lesley Fitzsimons

We specificaly booked a room with a bath but got a shower. the hotel advertised that tea making facilities were in the rooms but when we asked at reception we were told that they do not provide them.some of the staff were excellent, some were not bothered
