The staff on duty when we arrived were exceptionally friendly and helpful, and especially welcomingof my 3-year old daughter. the location is great.
Housekeeping could do with some improvement, and the rooms are very small and a bit dowdy - not quite the boutique hotel the promotion implies, but very friendly and comfortable.Schneider

Bılderberg jan luyken hotel is what it promises on the internet. i can comfortably say taht it is better than what it promıses in terms of location and the friendly and helpful approaches of the hotel staff. i will definetely come back to your hotel if i come to amsterdam again. Anonymous

Good locationThe size of the room was very disappointing; the pictures on the website is totally different from the real situation. i find this very disappointing; i feel i've been mislead by your website and if i don't get any sort of compensation, i'll never book via your site again!

The hotel was well located near museums. the hotel staff were very helpful, in terms of recommending restaurants, arranging for transportation to the airport.I was traveling with a business associate, and i reserved a room with two twin beds. after arriving, we discovered that the beds were attached and there were no rooms that could appropriately accommodate two business people who were traveling together. therefore,i had to book a second room for myself, so that doubled the price we expected to pay, a somewhat unwelcome surprise, especially as the dollar is doing so poorly against the euro. The hotel was classic. the area was quiet. it is a very nice place to rest and re-cooperate just outside the cities bustle. if you are an art museum buff...it is the perfect location. trams to the "life of the city" are just outside the door. out of fear i upgraded my room to a "larger room" for 40 euro/nt and had a big window with a nice view and a normal sized room.everything about the place was 4-stars....including the price.You would expect or at least hope for some "wow-factor" for the price...complementary water, wine, fruit, flowers, something but you end up getting just what you pay for....nothing more.Anonymous

Great location! next to the rijks and van gogh museums and also very close to the leidseplein square.
the standard double room is very small but good enough. the staff realizes this, i think, because they offered us an upgrade to the superior room for 25 euro/night. but we were happy with what we had.
all in all, it's a good hotel in a great location with an excellent staff. The room really was small. plus, the room we had looked out onto the street from one window and what looked liked a private residence balcony through the other (the balcony view shades were drawn the whole time).
