The Apple Inn is a very comfortable and centrally located tourist-class hotel with all facilities. This non-smoking hotel is located in the cultural area of Amsterdam, opposite the Vondelpark.
Most of the famous tourist attractions, such as the Concertgebouw, Rijksmuseum, the Van Gogh Museum and the Stedelijk Museum are within walking distance of the hotel. The RAI Exposition, the Congress Centre and the World Trade Center (WTC) are also conveniently accessible from the Apple Inn Hotel.

Really good breakfast facilities, pleasant and polite staff always accomodating and helpful. shower in the room was really good with on tap hot water!
Stairs to the top floor are a bit of a nightmare especially if your carrying a heavy case. best be careful if you come back from a night on the town as you may end up in a&e if you dont watch your step! Anonymous

The room was clean and spacious and the hotel staff were friendly.There was a mix up with the payment of our room, our misunderstanding though, and payment had to be made at the time of check in. we were lucky that one member of our party had brought a suitable credit card to use otherwise we would have been stuck! i think that it should be made clearer that payment should be made on arrival.Anonymous

When i read some of the negative reviews, i wondered what i was letting myself in for. as it happens they were all unfounded. the location was excellent in a good part of the city with plenty of local restaurants. despite reviews to the contrary, it was only a very short walk to the centre (very pleasant through vondel park). if you dont want to walk the number 2 tram is very frequent. the rooms were clean, light and airy. breakfast was adequate and plenty of food available. hotel staff friendly and spoke very good english.The apple inn is in a quiet location- ideal for me but if you want a hotel in the centre of town close to the nightlife - this is not the hotel for you. - as with most amsterdam places, the stairs are high and there is no lift - so if you are not fit ask for a room on the lower floorsAnonymous

We had booked a treble room, but it was really a single with three beds in. we had to move one of the beds to get into the wardrobe. the shower did not have anything to hold it in place which meant that you had to hold it in your hand and move it about your body. the tilt and turn window did not tilt and, as the room was on the ground floor, this meant that we had to leave the window closed even though it was extremely hot. if you want to check it out, it was room 42. turning the corner to this room from reception, there was a huge drop down very steep stairs to the basement which would have been very easy to fall down. i feel there should be some sort of stair gate installed here. some of my friends got to the dining room one day at 9.28 for breakfast and one of the staff continually moaned to a more junior member for serving them breakfast. this made everyone uncomfortable.Anonymous

Our room had a bathroom the size of a cupboard - it was so small the towel rail was about 2m off the ground and i had great difficulty reaching it - also the door to the bathroom would not open properly because the bed was in the way. the room had two temperatures "freeze" or "fry" as the heating was either on full or not at all. the lady who ran the breakfast area made us feel extremely unwelcome (we did arrive within the times specified although some selections had run out and were not replenished) - we didn't want to go back after our first day and only returned on the last day.Anonymous
